The Narragansett Community Band resides in the town of Templeton, in Central Massachusetts. It is made up of a group of amateur musicians from the surrounding towns. The players in our band range from high school age to senior citizens and come from all walks of life. They all play for the enjoyment of it; our musicians do not get paid. The Narragansett Community Band is sponsored and maintained by the Narragansett Regional School District, and has been a part of the district's music program since 1986.

The Band plays year round. In the winter months from January to April, we play at the Narragansett Regional Middle School. Rehearsing every week, and putting on two concerts for the public in February and April. During the summer months we play on alternating Sunday afternoons on the bandstand at Templeton Center. We also have several other "special event " concerts throughout the season.

Our concerts are typical community band fare. The music ranges from exciting marches to dramatic overtures, the music of Broadway, Latin and pop numbers. Although much of our music comes from the school library, many of our pieces are purchased by our fans, through donations.

We, like all musicians, love an audience. You're all invited to come out to our concerts and give us a listen. Also, We would love to hear your thoughts and comments. If you would like to let us know how we sound, or if you have any questions or comments. Drop Steve Babineau a note in his box. He'd love to hear from you..........See you on The Templeton Common!!!
